Unseen Photos Of Meghan Markle As A Budding Actress In Her School Plays Decades Ago
Meghan Markle is now a star actress and the leading lady in the US drama series, Suits, but her journey as an actress began long ago, as far back as her high school days.
Never-before-seen photos show Markle as a budding young actress performing in several school plays at private Catholic girls school Immaculate Heart High in Los Angeles. The 35-year-old actress, who is dating Prince Harry, starred in Stage Door, a musical set in the 1920s about a group of budding young actresses who have come to New York to find fame and fortune. Her father Thomas Markle was the lighting director for the play.Meghan also starred in the tap dancing musical Stepping Out in 1998, which follows a group of women attempting to tap their troubles away at their weekly class. She also played the part of the devil's assistant Lola in Damn Yankees, a baseball-themed comedy based on a Faust legend, in which she performed the song Whatever Lola Wants, Lola Gets.
Asides being in school plays, she was one of the most popular girls in her high school class, as she was also crowned homecoming queen in 1998. At the time, she was known as Rachel Markle before her middle name, Meghan took over.See more photos from her high school days below.
