Wife of former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, files lawsuit to stop son's wedding

One of the wives of former President Obasanjo, Taiwo Obasanjo, has filed a lawsuit at an Ikeja High Court, seeking to stop her son, Olujonwo Obasanjo, from marrying Tope Adebutu, the daughter of Sir Kessington Adebutu, promoter of Premier Lotto known as “Baba Ijebu”on May 11the and 12th. In the suit filed before the court today, Mrs Obasanjo is asking that the wedding be postponed to a date after June 1st. She argued that she was excluded from all preparations leading to introduction and proposed wedding. Mrs Obasanjo also stated that she has been warned by some men of God not to allow her son get married before his birthday which is June 1st when he is expected to turn 34. Olujonwo and Tope had an elaborate introduction on Dec. 17th last year. Justice Lateefa Okunnu has fixed April 10 for hearing of the suit.
