Obituary of Tony Anenih's son, Eugene who slumped and died at Lagos club

Family of PDP chieftain, Tony Anenih has released the burial arrangement for Eugene Anenih. Late Eugene reportedly slumped and died while playing table tennis game at a Lagos club last Sunday, May 14. The burial rites will begin on Thursday, May 18 with a Service of Songs at Catholic Church of Divine Mercy, Lekki, Lagos, followed by funeral mass and internment at Vaults and Gardens, Ikoyi on Friday. Until his death, he was the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Nova Finance and Securities Limited. Eugene holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Benin. He also attended the Programme for Management Development (PMD) at Harvard.

Photos: 258 Nigerians deported from Libya

258 Nigerians comprising of 220 males, 18 females and 20 children and infants, were deported from Libya last night May 16th. They were received at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport by the South West Zonal office of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants & Internally Displaced Persons. One of the deportees Akhere Ken who is from Edo State, told newsmen that he had been in detention for over a year in Libya. Ken said he was arrested on board a boat while trying to cross the Mediterranean sea to Italy. He stated that he was locked up with 1500 inmates in a cell meant for only 20 inmates and that some of the inmates started dying due to suffocation. “As one inmate dies, more Nigerians are brought and squeezed into the room. Any inmate with medical condition is not given even common paracetamol. We watch helplessly as our friends die before our very eyes,” Ken said 1268 Nigerians have been deported to Nigeria since December 2016.

Actress Uche Ogbodo is a year older today and she did a photoshoot to mark the special day. Uche looked regal in the photos released today and in the caption, she made some revelations about herself. The mother-of-one said she is 31 years old today and it is not as bad as she thought it would be.
